Dolly Parton started the Imagination Library in Sevier County in 1995 to send books to every child in the county under the age of five. The program has grown worldwide, serving several countries and 2,240,296 children. The Knox County program serves more than 19,000 children every month and has sent out more than 3.7 million books since 2005.
