Get to the Saturday Knox Farmers Market early enough, and you may have the chance to purchase a sweet bouquet from Belmont Farms. Their booth is usually picked clean of the beautiful floral arrangements, but they also sell eggs and farm produce.

Our painting group went to where the magic begins and painted flowers on the farm. On this day, I concentrated on sunflowers and the last of the zinnias with a background of wide-open space and the still mountains.

This six-generation farm in Sevier County is named Belmont after the one-room schoolhouse that stood on the property from the late 1800s to the early 1900s.  Their barn now is where the school was.

Stop by the Farmers Market and tell them you saw my painting, then take home that sweet bouquet.

Photographer Chris and painter Robin Rohwer share a painting or photograph each week that has captured their interest, in hopes that it will also capture yours. They have a small studio and gallery in the Phoenix Building at 418 South Gay Street, where you can stop and see their work. Their website is www.ChristopherRobinArts.com. All works are copyright-protected.
