Adopt a tree: Honor a loved one

Susan EspirituFarragut, Our Town Neighbors

Planting a tree to honor a loved one is a meaningful way to remember them and celebrate their life. Trees symbolize strength, growth and resilience, so planting one in honor of a loved one may also symbolize their continued presence in our lives. This can serve as a beautiful reminder of their memory for years to come.

The town of Farragut Adopt A Tree Program provides the opportunity to honor a friend or family member in the same way. Participants can adopt an existing tree at the Mayor Ralph McGill Plaza at Campbell Station Inn, Town Hall Park, McFee Park or Anchor Park. The tree will be marked with a plaque set in concrete. This can serve as a meaningful reminder of their memory for years to come. You can even choose your own tree. The adopted tree will be covered by a warranty so it will be around to provide shade and honor your loved one for years to come.

A map will be available on July 1 with the locations of all adoptable trees.

Registration for adopting a tree can be found here.
