Greer grew up at Dread’s Cove and expected to inherit the idyllic camp her grandfather founded and her mother runs in the north Georgia mountains. Her plans changed five years ago when Greer’s friend and fellow counselor, Stephanie, died in a mysterious fire. She left Dread Cove and has been reluctant to return until her mother’s sudden death and upcoming memorial service leave her no choice.
Former campers and counselors return to Dread’s Cove to mourn Greer’s mother. One of those counselors was Stephanie’s best friend and is now an investigative reporter. She believed Stephanie was murdered and will stop at nothing to prove it. When Greer agrees to help, she uncovers secrets that were meant to stay dead and buried.
Summer’s Never Over was my Book of the Month pick for June. I had no idea Darby Bozeman was a local Knoxville author until I read the author biography on the back flap of the dust jacket.
