University of Tennessee football fans will have a chance to meet members of the 2026 Volunteers team during a special appearance at a West Knoxville Food City this weekend.

Food City will host approximately 20 Tennessee football players for a free meet-and-greet on Saturday, July 25, from noon to 2 p.m. at its store located at 6710 Malone Creek Drive in Knoxville.

The event gives fans an opportunity to interact with current Volunteers players, take photos and celebrate the upcoming football season as excitement continues to build across Big Orange Country.

The appearance is expected to feature members of this year’s Tennessee football team, though individual player participation may vary. Food City has announced that approximately 20 players are scheduled to attend.

With football season just around the corner, the event offers families, young fans and longtime Vol supporters a chance to connect with the team in a relaxed, community setting.

The meet-and-greet will take place inside Food City #678, located at 6710 Malone Creek Drive. Admission is free, and fans are encouraged to arrive early, as large crowds are expected.

This is the latest in Food City’s ongoing partnership with the University of Tennessee, bringing Vol fans and student-athletes together through community events across East Tennessee.

Betsi James is the special events manager for the Food City Knoxville division.
