Scoop Ice Cream Fest at World’s Fair Park on June 6

Ice cream trucks, sno cones, popsicles, inflatables, and a petting zoo will bring the fun to World’s Fair Park Festival Lawn on Saturday, June 6, 11 a.m.- 6 p.m. Free admission guarantees a perfect day, rain or shine.

Vendors for shopping and eating will keep you entertained throughout the day.

From face painting and Twiggy the water-skiing squirrel to an ice cream eating contest and more, there’s fun for everyone!

Susan Espiritu

Susan Espiritu is a lifelong Tennessean, born and raised in Fountain City with a short stint in Hawaii where she met her husband of now over 50 years, Charlie. Susan graduated in Elementary Education from the University of Tennessee plus Master’s and Ed.S. degrees in Educational Leadership from University of Tennessee and Lincoln Memorial University, respectively. She taught in Knox County schools for over twenty years and served as principal of two KCS for a combined 16 years. After retirement, her love of writing led to a connection with Sandra Clark and KnoxTNToday evolving into a dream retirement of managing the online news in Clark’s semi-retirements. Susan cherishes time spent with husband Charlie, two daughters Maria & Kalea, and son Billy who have blessed her with nine grandchildren and one great grandson.
