The week of February 16-20, 2026, was a busy one for the Register’s office. We were closed on Monday for Presidents’ Day, but still recorded 1,471 documents during the four-day week. There were 300 trust deeds (loans) and 192 warranty deeds recording property transfers.
The 300 loans had a combined value of $119.31 million. Seven of those were for amounts exceeding $1 million, the largest being $11.8 million, backed by SouthEast Bank. SouthEast Bank also funded the second-highest amount of $6.5 million. The other high-value loans are outlined below:

Property sales accounting for 192 instruments had a cumulative value of $76.88 million. Seven of those properties sold for over $1 million each, but only two were commercial transactions. The Grand Buffet Restaurant at the corner of Clinton Highway and Callahan Drive was the most expensive transfer of the week. Scenic Wood, GP purchased the property from 6612 Clinton Hwy, LLC for $4.35 million.
The other transfer was in the Reserve at Three Ridges on Millertown Pike, which we have noted recently. Homestead sold an additional 26 lots to D.R. Horton for $1.77 million.
The year-to-date comparison chart has been updated as of February 20:
