- Great Schools Partnership has given $10,000 to the Knox County Schools’ Teacher Supply Depot to pay for additional classroom supplies for Knox County teachers. Great Schools Partnership president Stephanie Welch presented the donation in May.
- Beat-up golf carts at the city-owned Whittle Springs Golf Course are gone. Sixty new carts are motoring over the course’s three-year-old cart paths – a combined investment of almost $700,000 since 2015. Info here.
- YMCA of East Tennessee is offering two free weeks (May 27-June 9) at area Ys for teachers and staff of Knox County Schools. This includes use of the six pools and a variety of group fitness classes. Info here.
