Community Day

Boo! at the Zoo

Calling all actors: Zoo Knoxville is looking for talented performers ready to bring a little Halloween magic — and perhaps a few scares — to BOO! at the Zoo this October.

Auditions for the annual Halloween event will be held Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 at 6 p.m. Applicants must be 18 or older.

Performers will be paid starting at $20 per hour. The schedule calls for approximately five-hour shifts, with a 4:30 p.m. call time on performance days.

BOO! at the Zoo performances are scheduled for Oct. 3, 4, 8, 9, 10, 11, 15, 16, 17, 18, 22, 23, 24, 25, 29 and 30.

Those interested in joining the cast should take a close look at their October calendars before applying. Priority casting will be given to performers who are available for all event dates.

Zoo Knoxville will not provide housing or travel stipends, so applicants should plan accordingly.

The opportunity offers local actors and performers a chance to become part of one of Zoo Knoxville’s signature seasonal events while earning at least $20 an hour.
