Badger was frazzled this past week by world events, work events, and ongoing Helene recovery paperwork. The founder of our non-profit Heart of North Cove, Melanie Harris, suggested after our board meeting that Badger should keep it simple and go photograph a sunset.
One of my favorite overlooks for capturing mountain images is a spot just east of Linville Gorge. The spot is relatively close to North Cove, the timing was right, and the skies to the west looked promising.
“Promising” became an actuality. Deep orange rays draped the Blue Ridge in concordance with an early Spring setting. The result of the extraordinary view was an HD Card full of sun-splashed images ready for processing, including this week’s featured photo.
Wise words from a trusted friend paid huge dividends. Keeping it simple worked out quite well.
