Williams joins Summit Express Clinics

Kara Williams PA-C has joined Summit Express Clinics in Bearden, Farragut, Fountain City and Powell. Williams earned an undergraduate degree in exercise science from Florida State University in 2007 and graduated from South College with a master’s degree in health science in physician assistant studies (MPAS) in 2010. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Prior to joining Summit Medical Group, she spent seven years as an emergency department physician assistant in Knoxville.

Jim Cortese is the keynote speaker when the Knoxville Botanical Garden & Arboretum celebrates the 10th anniversary of “4 Trees for 2 Nations” at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 10. The event is free and open to all. Info here.

Knox County Schools will hold a Community Budget Meeting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 15, at Central High School, 5321 Jacksboro Pike. The meeting will be streamed live and may be viewed here.

Knox County Senior Centers have re-opened at their regularly scheduled hours, though programming will be limited by Covid-19 restrictions. Activities will include classes, arts and crafts groups, trivia and book clubs. Computer labs and equipment in fitness rooms will be available.
