What would you do for 40 percent off?

Sandra ClarkFeature, Powell

The witches are out at Real Deals of Powell.

Carolyn Wells announced the sale at last week’s meeting of the Powell Business & Professional Association. She said Kim and Chuck Severance were giving 40 percent off merchandise that day only for customers who came in wearing a witch’s hat.

We just had to go. And sure enough, there was Carolyn, witch’s hat and all. And we encountered the Huffaker family: Alf and Gayla and their daughters, Brooke and Brigette. The whole family had morphed into witches.

Kim said it was Carolyn’s second visit to the store.

Kim has already stocked Christmas items. What will she do with the Halloween merchandise left over?

“Not a problem,” said Kim. “We’ll sell out.”

The store is located on Emory Road east of the Heiskell Road/Central Avenue Pike intersection. Computer Depot is next door. Info here.
