May is “Military Appreciation Month,” an observance created by Congress in 1999 as a chance for our nation to pause and reflect with gratitude on the contributions and service of our servicemembers past and present.
Through its membership in the Leading Real Estate Companies of the World network, Wallace Real Estate is proud to participate in the LeadingRE Heroes program as a way to give back to those who have served. The program provides an opportunity for eligible military service members, veterans and other qualifying community heroes to receive a credit through their real estate transaction when working with a participating Wallace agent.
“National Military Appreciation Month is a meaningful time to recognize the sacrifices made by service members, veterans and their families,” said Andrew McGranaghan, CEO of Wallace Real Estate. “At Wallace, we are grateful for the opportunity to serve those who have served our country, and the LeadingRE Heroes program is one way we can offer tangible support during an important life transition like buying or selling a home.”
For many military families, a move can come with unique timing pressures, financial questions and relocation needs. Carol Hart, Wallace Real Estate’s director of Referral Connections, said programs like LeadingRE Heroes can be especially helpful because they combine local expertise with the strength of a broader network.
“Military moves often involve more moving parts than a typical transaction,” said Hart. “Whether someone is relocating to East Tennessee, moving out of the area, or simply trying to understand what options may be available to them, this program can open the door to added value and trusted guidance.”
McGranaghan said that is one reason Wallace wants to keep the focus on education as well as service.
“We want military families and veterans to know there may be opportunities available to them that they have not fully explored,” he said. “Our goal is to connect them with knowledgeable professionals, including our trusted mortgage and insurance partners, to help them navigate the process with confidence and make sure they feel supported every step of the way.”
