Wallace Commercial recently supported the local commercial real estate community as a breakfast sponsor for a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) training CI 104 course held at the East Tennessee REALTORS® headquarters.

The CCIM designation is widely recognized as one of the most respected credentials in commercial real estate. Often referred to as the “gold standard” of the industry, the designation reflects advanced expertise in financial, market, and investment analysis, as well as negotiation and commercial real estate strategy.

“Commercial real estate is a highly specialized field, and continuing education is one of the ways advisors sharpen their skills and better serve clients,” said Jim Staley, Broker of Wallace Commercial and CCIM designee. “The CCIM curriculum is rigorous, and having this course available locally is a great opportunity for commercial professionals in our market.”

The path to earning the CCIM designation requires significant time, study, and commitment. Candidates complete a series of core courses, commonly referred to as CI 101, 102, 103, and 104, along with additional requirements, before sitting for the comprehensive exam.

Several members of Wallace Commercial are CCIM designees, including Staley, Jim Simpson, John Rebori, and brokerage owner Jim Wallace. Advisors Charles Stallings, Christa Rosenberg , and Jeffrey Dealejandro are in process as candidates for earning the designation.

The local CCIM chapter, of which Wallace Commercial Broker Jim Staley, CCIM, is co-chair of the Education Committee, helped bring CI 104 to Knoxville for a group of 20 local commercial real estate professionals. The course provides advanced training designed to help brokers better understand market conditions, analyze properties, evaluate investment opportunities, and guide clients through complex commercial real estate decisions.
