Wallace Real Estate agent Jay Glass is helping Knoxville-area students prepare for a successful school year with his community event, the Back 2 School Backpack Bash.
The free event will take place Saturday, Aug. 8, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Wallace Real Estate’s Bearden office, located at 140 Major Reynolds Place in Knoxville. Glass and event sponsors will distribute free backpacks and school supplies while supplies last. Guests can also enjoy hot dogs, chips, refreshments and ice cream.
“Throughout my life, I’ve always been passionate about giving back to the community, and I’m excited to finally have the opportunity to do just that,” Glass said. “My goal is to bring our community together and help make sure Knoxville students begin the school year feeling confident, prepared and supported.”
The celebration is open to our community. Glass encourages neighbors to stop by, enjoy some food and spend time together. Attendees may also pick up a backpack to share with a child or family who could use additional support this school year.
“They say it takes a village to raise a child, and I truly believe that,” Glass said. “This is just the beginning, and I can’t wait to continue finding ways to give back to the community that has given so much to me.”
