Volunteer East Tennessee will hold its 5th annual Volunteer Expo on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 1-4 p.m. at West Town Mall. About 40 nonprofit organizations will have representatives at the event which is free and open to the public.
Attendees may learn about one-time or long-term volunteer opportunities in youth programs, the arts, animal welfare, health, human services and more.
“The Volunteer Expo is the best event for anyone looking to volunteer but not sure where to start,” said Alyson Gallaher, executive director of Volunteer East Tennessee. “Volunteer East Tennessee is committed to matching community volunteers with nonprofit organizations that fit with their interests and work with their schedule and skill set.”
The first 100 attendees to create volunteer accounts on-site or show proof of an existing volunteer account with www.volunteeretn.org will receive a Volunteer East Tennessee water bottle. Community members participating in the Volunteer Expo will also be eligible for a gift card raffle.
