Big Orange basketball fans will have an opportunity to meet members of the 2026-27 Tennessee men’s and women’s basketball teams during a special appearance at Food City in South Knoxville.
Food City will host members of the Vols and Lady Vols basketball teams for a meet-and-greet from 1-2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, at its Mountain Grove Drive location, 7608 Mountain Grove Drive in Knoxville.
The one-hour event will give Tennessee fans an opportunity to meet some of the players who will take the court during the upcoming basketball season. Fans are invited to stop by, say hello, get autographs and show their Big Orange spirit.
The event is open to the public.
The appearance comes as excitement begins building for another season of Tennessee basketball. Both programs have strong followings throughout East Tennessee, and the Food City event gives area fans an opportunity to connect with players away from the court.
Food City has a significant connection to Tennessee athletics. The Knoxville arena that serves as home court for both the Vols and Lady Vols carries the name Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center.
