It was simply a matter of time: The Urban Wilderness has its own water bottles!

Sales of Urban Wilderness Water Bottles will benefit Legacy Parks Foundation and the Appalachian Mountain Bike Club.

Legacy Parks Foundation, REI and the Appalachian Mountain Bike Club will introduce the new Urban Wilderness water bottles at a 5-7 p.m. kickoff celebration today (2/22) at REI, 6700 Papermill Drive. Urban Wilderness fans and outdoor enthusiasts are invited to this fun event.

Available exclusively through REI, the 22-ounce bike bottle retails for $11.95, and the 32-ounce Nalgene bottle retails for $10.95. Proceeds from water-bottle sales will directly support Legacy Parks Foundation and the AMBC, a leader in building and maintaining trails in the Urban Wilderness of South Knoxville and beyond.

Legacy Parks Foundation is an East Tennessee nonprofit that works to conserve natural resources, create public places and connect communities. The goal is to ensure that the region enjoys exceptional recreational opportunities and natural beauty and that these assets exist for generations to come. To date, Legacy Parks has raised more than $6 million, added 500-plus acres of parkland for Knox County and helped conserve 1,000 acres of natural space in East Tennessee.

People who purchase a water bottle tonight will be eligible to enter a raffle for prizes from REI. Winners will be announced after the event.
