Tranquility in the shadow of House Mountain

Christopher RobinGibbs/Corryton, Our Town Arts

Lavender season was over, yet the fragrance lingered into the fall. Juxtaposed at the foot of House Mountain with a vibrant red barn, it is exciting to the painter’s eye.

Our painting group was invited to Red Barn Lavender Farm in Corryton to paint the spread. The farm is accustomed to hosting parties, weddings and lavender sales, but the pastoral setting was perfect to paint the pond, barn and mountain. Capturing my attention though, was a treehouse tucked behind a few branches. As tranquil goes, it was the tranquilest (Yes, it’s a word).

Check them out on Facebook, it’s a sweet place.
