Knoxville Handel Society will present “The Magnificat” by J.S. Bach and “Messiah” Part I by G.F. Handel at 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, at Cathedral of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, 711 S. Northshore Drive.
The heretofore (and currently) anonymous author of the society’s press releases says sometimes a sneak peek is all it takes to make a decision. So, he/she captured this rehearsal snippet from the Oct. 20 practice. “Quite a stretch (for local singers), but it’s getting there,” the writer says. Listen here.
Tickets are available through Knoxville Tickets at 865-656-4444 or online here. Admission is $20 with discounts available for groups of four or more and college students. K-12 students are admitted free, but those tickets must be ordered in person at the Thompson-Boling Arena Box Office.
