Teacher sells coupon books

Christenberry Elementary School kindergarten teacher Amy Dockery decided to give her kids a helping hand with coupon book sales, so she set up a table at the Western Avenue Food City offering coupon books to Saturday morning grocery shoppers.

This is the 30th edition of a fundraiser that over the years has generated millions of dollars for local schools.

This year’s sale runs through Sept. 26, and the cost of the books is still $10. Of that amount, $8 from each sale goes to the school of the student who sells it. Books can be purchased from a student or directly at the school.
