Sunshine Services will host a gala on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 6-9 p.m. at its warehouse location, 3000 N. Central St., transforming the space into a high-energy, industrial-chic event celebrating the organization’s next chapter.

“Golden Hour is both a celebration of where we’ve been and a statement about where we’re going,” said Kelsie Crittendon, executive director of Sunshine Services. “We’re inviting the community to be part of this next chapter and help ensure the people we support continue to thrive.”
The evening will feature music from DJ Sterl the Pearl (UT Athletics), emcee Elana Mutnick (WBIR), a live painting created on-site by local artist Lilly Deal to be auctioned during the event, an open beer and wine bar and heavy hors d’oeuvres.
“Golden Hour: An Evening to Shine Forward” is a community-driven event that serves as a moment to reflect on Sunshine’s history, as the warehouse – originally built for Sunshine Industries in 1984-85 – has long been home to a legacy program that supported meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Proceeds from the event will support Sunshine Services’ transition fund, which helps individuals moving into new opportunities for employment, independence and community integration.
