Besides heat and humidity, there is one thing you can count on when July and August roll around. Fields of Sunflowers will pop up around East Tennessee and beyond.
With the single sunflower placed in the foreground and the Blue Bird barn of Seven Islands State Birding Park in the opposite background, my hope is to have the viewers’ eyes traveling back and forth enjoying the flowers in between.
This particular field is not there this year but Seven Islands offers a variety of other wildflower viewing opportunities. A quick internet search will provide locations of numerous area sunflower fields for your dose of summer sunshine.
