Mary Wayland Sullivan, 80, wife of former Metro Pulse publisher Joseph W. Sullivan, passed away on April 18. Born and raised in Knoxville, she attended both private and public schools here before going to St. Anne’s School in Charlottesville, Va., for high school, where she was president of her class and editor of the school newspaper. Her marriage to Joe Sullivan spanned 58 years, and because of his work, they lived in Maryland, Illinois and New Jersey before returning to Knoxville in 1992.
