Charles Gary Morris, 67, of Powell passed away June 24. He was a member of Community Baptist Church and a U.S. Navy veteran. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today (6/26) at the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel, Maynardville. The funeral will follow.
Mr. Morris will be interred at Sharon Baptist Church, 7916 Pedigo Road, at 11 a.m. Thursday.
Gary was a big man with an over-sized love of life and service. His two years as president of the Powell Business & Professional Association were amazing – for the projects launched and the funds raised through auctions and what-not to fund them. Powell is a better place because Gary Morris lived here.
