David Earl Foulk, who passed away on January 8, 2024, at age 72, surely left a town full of best friends. With the handle Dave Foulk, he connected with his radio audience as well as anyone ever in this market. His awards as a journalist along with many family members and friends are listed in his obituary, which includes:

“After avoiding an untimely demise many times throughout his life, David made the decision to spend his last days enjoying his family and friends instead of fighting the inevitable. He passed peacefully from complications from kidney failure.”

His wife, Dena, wrote on Facebook: “He loved his family, he loved his work and he loved connecting with each of you. Thank you for being such a large and supportive part of our lives.”

Friends may call from 3-4 p.m. today (1/12/24), then the family will receive friends from 4-5:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 510 W. Main St, Knoxville. The funeral service will begin at 6 p.m. with Pastor Chris Kendall officiating.
