Services Saturday for founder of Flowers by Jane

Sandra ClarkObits

Jane Feezell built a Knoxville business that gained national attention. Flowers by Jane was honored as one of the top 100 FTD florists in the nation. She passed away on July 16, 2021, at age 88.

Mrs. Feezell began her florist career with her mother in Loudon as Loudon Florist. In the early 1960s, she bought King’s Florist in Bearden Center and began Flowers by Jane. As the business grew, she moved to the old Mt. Vernon Motor Court at the bottom of Bearden Hill.

When Sen. Howard Baker had President Ronald Reagan down for a visit to Tennessee, she was asked by the White House to decorate the premises with floral arrangements. Nancy Reagan sent her a self-written letter of appreciation for such beautiful flowers. And when Jane retired, she spent several years donating her time and expertise with Random Acts of Flowers.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 24, at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Additional obituary information is here.
