Cdr. Clifton Fayne Willis influenced many lives through his teaching of JROTC at Central and Bearden high schools after his retirement from active duty in the U.S. Navy. He passed away July 26, 2022, at age 82. He served in the Navy from 1965-86, including two tours of Vietnam. He received numerous medals and ribbons, including the Bronze Star with Valor.

The family will receive friends 5-6:30 p.m. Monday, August 1, at Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel with a service to follow at 6:30 p.m. Graveside service will be 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors conferred by the U.S. Navy and the East Tennessee State Veterans Honor Guard.
