A memorial service for Sidney Alvin Blalock will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, July 12, at Sevier Heights Baptist Church. The family will receive friends between 3 and 5:30.
Mr. Blalock passed away on July 8 in Knoxville.
He was CEO and a founder of Charles Blalock & Sons Inc., which began in 1962. Over the years the company has expanded into multiple businesses with over 800 employees serving Tennessee, Virginia and North Carolina. A graduate of the University of Tennessee, Mr. Blalock enjoyed UT sports and traveling with his wife of 58 years, Jo. He also leaves three children and five grandchildren.
