Santa is coming to select Food City locations throughout the holidays, compliments of our friends at Coca-Cola. Mark your calendar and make plans to attend and enjoy photos with Santa and other festive holiday traditions. Bring your phone or camera to capture the magic. Santa’s visits will be 6-8 p.m. at each store. Knoxville area locations and dates are:

Free Breakfast for Vets: Buzz Buswell invites veterans and their guests (of all ages) for a free breakfast Saturday, Dec. 10, at the Kodak United Methodist Church, 2923 Bryan Road in Kodak. The event is compliments of Dumplin Creek Critter Care with volunteers from Spencer Clack Chapter, NSDAR Sevierville, and food from Food City. Doors open at 8 a.m. and the chow line opens at 8:30. These events move around the area and are a project of the United Veterans Council of East Tennessee Inc. Info: 865-604-4443.

Food City officials will present “a significant check” to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society in support of the celebration which was held in Knoxville in September. That is today (11/30/22) at 3:30 p.m. at the Deane Hill Food City, 284 Morrell Road.

Friends & Pets in Need: This holiday food drive will run through Dec. 31. Specially marked bags containing non-perishable food items, as well as bags containing pet food products, will be available for purchase for $15 plus tax at all Food City locations. Customers may deposit the bags in collection bins located at the front of the store.

Flu Shots are now available at your local Food City Pharmacy with no appointment. Flu shots at Food City Pharmacy are affordable and zero copay with most insurance. For every flu shot given, Food City will make a donation to the Pat Summitt Foundation.

Jobs, jobs, jobs: Food City continues to hire for full- or part-time jobs, entry-level or skilled positions. Interested candidates can apply online at FoodCity.com or visit any Food City store to complete an application.
