Kenneth H. “Mickey” Snyder Jr., 84, passed away July 9, 2024, in Knoxville. A celebration of life will be held at Click Funeral Home, 109 Walnut Street, Lenoir City, Tennessee, on Monday, July 22, 2024, at 5 p.m., officiated by Dr. Tommy Smith.
Survivors include his uncle, former UTK Chancellor Bill Snyder, 97, and his wife of 65 years, Lana Sue Snyder. The full obituary is here.
Mickey Snyder began his career with the Knoxville Police Department in 1962, serving until his retirement as a captain in 1993. He took immense pride in his contributions to the Police Assistance Program. He was a standout athlete for Knoxville West High School and in later years coached youth athletics including football, baseball and basketball.
