Relaxin’ on Jackson

Christopher RobinDowntown, Our Town Arts

In Relaxin’ on Jackson, the vibe is chill. Just like the morning temperatures this week, a chill is in the air and the time is right to enjoy a slower pace. September signals a return to schedules, ballgames and the stretch before cold weather. This is your cue to enjoy a patio drink with friends.

Painted on a cradled wood panel, the colors of the brick (orange) and the color of the chairs (blue) are complements. That means they are directly opposite on the color wheel and bring out the best in each other, bringing happiness to the artist.

The patrons are non-descript, but the dog is Benny. He is a good boy.

Photographer Chris and painter Robin Rohwer each week share a painting or photograph that captured their interest in hopes that it will also capture yours. They have a small studio and gallery in the Phoenix Building at 418 South Gay Street where you can stop and see their work. Their website is www.ChristopherRobinArts.com. All works are copyright protected.
