Preston Tolliver, a 2018 Powell High School graduate, obtained an internship with Y-12 Federal Credit Union this summer.
PHS business teacher Angie Roberts said the internship was competitive throughout Knox County high schools. “This is an excellent opportunity to further instill financial literacy, develop soft skills like social networking and establish roles and responsibilities in the banking and finance industry.”
Roberts said Preston’s selection for the internship recognizes “all the hard work and success that comes by staying focused and pursuing your dreams.”
