Powell Elementary School welcomed kids, parents and siblings at an ice cream social Friday evening. Many of the teachers brought their own children to the event.
Principal Denise Blefko and assistant principal Karen Frost visited with the crowd. Most folks wore orange in honor of the Powell Panthers’ football game versus Clinton later that evening (or the UT game versus Florida on Saturday).
PTA leaders dished and scooped generous portions of ice cream with toppings. Kids enjoyed the treat and the playground.
