Post-holiday week real estate activity picks up

As expected, real estate activity registered an increase after the holiday week. And, with the beginning of the school year quickly approaching, I presume the next few weeks will be busy as well.

Last week, 304 property transfers were recorded totaling $69.68 million. Surprisingly, there were no commercial property transfers over $1 million.

Mortgage activity resulted in 382 loans equaling $80.2 million. A loan to Rosewood LP from Walker & Dunlop LLC in the amount of $7.3 million is for a multifamily development on Valley View Drive in the Alice Bell community. This property is leased by Rosewood LP from Knoxville’s Community Development Corporation.
