Pie Day raises $2,600 for Young Williams

Cameron Brooks, an agent with Realty Executives Associates in Knoxville, organized a fundraiser for Young William Animal Center called Pie Day. Held on March 14, Cameron and friends ordered some 90 pies and raised over $2,600 for Young Williams.

Cameron’s golden retriever, Samuel, was master of ceremonies and official greeter. Pies were apple, Dutch apple or pumpkin. The event grows each year as old friends gather to deliver pies.

Brooks said co-sponsors were Gary Sturm of Mortgage Investors Group, Evan Seivers of State Farm Insurance, Garrett Construction Inc. and Big T Termite and Pest Control.

Leigh Ann Garrett was one of the helpers. She posted: “Happy Pi/Pie Day. I celebrated by helping Cameron Brooks with a fundraiser for Young Williams. What a wonderful event.” Enjoy these photos from Pie Day:
