The ninth annual Fall Fest made up for last year’s rainy edition with daylong activities and a record crowd at Baker Creek Preserve in South Knoxville.

Fall Fest brings together Appalachian Mountain Bike Club members, kids, friends, supporters and visitors from far afield. On Saturday, they rode for fun and competition, checked out new bikes and gear, socialized over food-truck fare, beer and a chili supper, and partied into the evening with a wide spectrum of music.

Oh, and all the cool kids purchased AMBC swag.

AMBC president Wes Soward estimated the day’s attendance at more than 1,500. Money raised through the silent auction, a bike raffle and souvenir sales goes to fund AMBC work projects such as clearing and building trails.
