Panther awards: Excellence in first year of PSCC program

Student athletes were recognized recently at the year-end Pellissippi State Athletics Panther Awards banquet.

The Pellissippi State Women’s Soccer team won the Academic Apex Award, given to the team achieving the highest overall GPA during the academic year.

Women’s Soccer player Sade Lee earned the Standout Performance Award for excellence on the field of play during a game.

The Women’s Volleyball team was recognized with the Game of the Year award for win against Cleveland State that created an unmatched environment for the team and fans cheering them along.

The Cross Country Men’s and Women’s teams earned the Defining Moment Award for their win against Walters State in the season opener with performances that made Pellissippi State Athletics stand out among our competition.

Ruben Cardoza and Sade Lee earned the Athletic Excellence Award, given to one male and one female student who displayed excellence on the field throughout the season.

Women’s Soccer player Lauren Lemmo won the Breakthrough Athlete of the Year award for showing the greatest improvement throughout the season.

Students named to the All-Panther 2024 Team include Men’s Soccer players Amadou BenjaminNathan Saraiva and Jacob Eubanks; Men’s Cross Country runner Stephen Scallion; Men’s Golf player Coen Lovin; Women’s Soccer players Lauren LemmoAva Smith and Kelly Velasquez Cruz; Women’s Cross Country runner Grace Adams; and Women’s Cross Country/Half Marathon runner Jocelyn Chipoco-Delgado. Those selected excelled on and off the field of play and represented the college and athletics department as outstanding individuals.
