Opposites attract … the eye

Orange and pink are not two colors that I would typically think look good together. Here, the orange backdrop of downtown Knoxville’s Hilton Hotel garage provided a unique color contrast to the pink redbud blossoms. The tangle of branches with buds in and out of focus gives an abstract look, keeping the eye busy moving throughout the image. This tree is no longer there; however, I have another image of it covered in snow I will share in the future.

Photographer Chris and painter Robin Rohwer each week strive to share a painting or photograph that captured their interest in hopes that it will also capture yours. They have a small studio and gallery in the Emporium Center in downtown Knoxville where you can stop and see their work. Check ahead to see when they will be there, as they may be off looking for more inspiration. Their website is: www.ChristopherRobinArts.com. Email them at ChristopherRobinArts@gmail.com.
