On golden pond

There is a celebration of color marching toward East Tennessee. It starts in the woods of Canada and moves steadily south following the cooler weather of fall.

We all love the broad vistas of fall color over the hills and valleys of home, but don’t forget to see the more intimate landscapes before you. Here are two fall images that I like. I think the blue sky contrasting against the leaf colors makes these especially pleasing.

Make it a point to enjoy this year’s party of color each day. It may linger for weeks or could be gone with a single blustery storm.
