Lonsdale Celebrates Community Diversity

The Lonsdale Community came together to share their rich diversity and cultural experiences while having fun with food, entertainment, reading and math! The families brought in authentic food from their Guatemalan and African cultures and the students displayed art from there as well. Pictured are Julie Lowe and Lora Nanny who are fantastic Lonsdale staff!

Emaleigh Bell wins Panhellenic award

Congratulations to Emaleigh Bell for receiving the Allison Keller College Panhellenic Council Member of the Year which “recognizes an undergraduate student in the Southeast who is a role model to their peers and consistently illustrates what is means to live with integrity and by the values of their organization.”

Emaleigh recently graduated a semester early from the University of Tennessee with a double major in psychology and political science. She aspires to pursue a career in counseling while advocating for those who do not have access to mental health resources.

As a hometown girl, she sings in her church choir at Fountain City Presbyterian and serves as a caretaker for her grandparents as often as possible since graduating and before pursuing graduate school.

Students Debut in Beauty and the Beast

Gibbs students Maggie Lamb and Jacey Weaver debuted at Knoxville Children’s Theater production of Beauty and the Beast. Maggie is playing the character of Chip and Jacey is in the ensemble.
