Lynn Jacomen will be principal of Hardin Valley Elementary School effective July 2022. She has been principal at Inskip Elementary School since 2017.
The Hardin Valley opening came when Dr. Sunny Poe Scheafnocker was appointed principal of the new elementary school now under construction in northwest Knox County. She has been principal at Hardin Valley since 2015.
Lynn Jacomen
Jacomen joined Knox County Schools in 2016 after more than 20 years of working in education in Virginia. She spent nine years as a classroom teacher before joining the Virginia Department of Education.
She was named assistant principal at Ritta Elementary in 2016 and principal of lnskip Elementary in 2017, where she currently serves. We profiled Jacomen here and KnoxTNToday.com has worked with Inskip Elementary this year on projects and publicity.
Jacomen holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction, both from the University of Tennessee, as well as an educational specialist degree from Radford University.
