The first week of September was busy for us. We recorded 278 property transfers that totaled $69.17 million dollars and 416 loans that totaled $88.6 million dollars.

The Westland Drive area of West Knoxville has seen huge growth over the past few years, but it looks like there is still room for more. Get ready for some new neighbors in the Westland Oaks subdivision because Ball Homes LLC just purchased 53 lots from Mesana Investments LLC for $3.32 million.

Another multimillion-dollar property transfer was for the Dollar General property on Asheville Highway and Rich Road in East Knoxville. This $1.4 million-dollar transfer was between JMB Investment Company LLC and CCSD LLC.

Of the 416 loans, only a few were more than a million dollars. There was a refinance for the offices of Franz, McConnell and Seymour LP from Mountain Commerce Bank for $1.58 million and Firestreet Office Group LLC borrowed $1.02 million from Mountain Commerce Bank for the commercial space in the Firestreet Lofts Building downtown.
