Lenoir City Utilities Board (LCUB) will officially open its new 180,000-square-foot operations facility at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 26, at 7698 Creekwood Park Blvd. in the Creekwood Park Development just off I-75 at the Lenoir City exit 81.

The facility is also the new corporate headquarters for LCUB and hosts a state-of-the art operation and dispatch center, a customer service center, a data center with biometric security and other Tier III design features, a warehouse with a bar-coding inventory control system and 62 truck bays that will allow all electric, gas, water and wastewater service trucks to be preloaded before each shift begins, according to a press release.

The new facility includes critical redundancies, such as two independent electrical circuits with generator back-ups, and can withstand a seismic earthquake.

LCUB’s current drive-through customer service center at 206 Depot Street in downtown Lenoir City will remain open for bill pay services until June 2018. All other customer service facilities located in West Knoxville, as well as online services at lcub.com, will remain open and ready to serve LCUB customers.
