Many of us remember WBIR Anchor Emeritus Bill Williams fondly as the father of “Monday’s Child” for 30 years, connecting over 1,000 kids in foster care to forever homes. Read more from the story May, 2023 on WBIR.

Beginning next Monday, KnoxTNToday will feature a Monday’s Parent-A-Child segment, featuring a youth in search of their forever family. It is the hope at KTT that we mirror Williams’ impact through the partnership with Harmony Family Center.

Susan Espiritu

Susan Espiritu is a lifelong Tennessean, born and raised in Fountain City with a short stint in Hawaii where she met her husband of now over 50 years, Charlie. Susan graduated in Elementary Education from the University of Tennessee plus Master’s and Ed.S. degrees in Educational Leadership from University of Tennessee and Lincoln Memorial University, respectively. She taught in Knox County schools for over twenty years and served as principal of two KCS for a combined 16 years. After retirement, her love of writing led to a connection with Sandra Clark and KnoxTNToday evolving into a dream retirement of managing the online news in Clark’s semi-retirements. Susan cherishes time spent with husband Charlie, two daughters Maria & Kalea, and son Billy who have blessed her with nine grandchildren and one great grandson.
