Dr. Charlie Barnett (DocTalk)  and Dr. Marty Prince have opened a new practice specializing in precision/longevity medicine. With decades of experience treating disease, they have shifted their focus to disease prevention. The company’s name, NovoTheros, means new life.

The process involves a lengthy physical exam, an exploration of interactions between medicines and any supplements taken, and a 296-metabolite blood test looking at biomarkers within the body. A blood test of the 50 most common blood analytes, a VO2 max test, which assesses the body’s ability to use oxygen during exercise, a GI map, which analyzes the stool for abnormal bacteria and breakdown products, and a fat analysis test, which looks at fat distribution within the body.

An evaluation by a dietician for proper diet instructions, and finally, an appointment with a physical therapist to recommend an exercise program that your body would be capable of performing.

Their website NovaTheros, explains all this in much greater detail, with videos to explain some of the more complicated testing procedures in depth.
