Mill Creek ES Otterfest is Friday

Mill Creek Elementary OtterFest is Friday, April 5, 2024, 5-7 p.m. at 10521 Coward Mill Road, Knoxville.

This inaugural spring carnival is open to the community and is a family-friendly event including inflatables, games, music, bounce houses, food trucks, face painting and a silent auction.

PTO interim vice president of committees,  Kim Mills, is excited about OtterFest: “Our school is beautiful and brand new; it has served our children, staff and community well this year even with only kindergarten through second grade. Although our facility is new, we have a lot of catching up to do to our local schools within the community to provide equivalent programs such as STEM, technology, news etc.

“This will be our first major fundraiser to help the teachers and staff really build the foundation blocks for the kids within this community. Our goal is to provide a fun, family event for the community to come visit our new school, but also celebrate that we are here and so excited to see all of our new otters for next year since we will be open for K-5!”

All proceeds will go directly back to the children’s classrooms, grants for teachers’ needs and other supplies and equipment for the school.

The PTO is looking to partner with businesses, individuals and groups who have a heart for making a difference within the lives of children.
