The Tennessee Grocers & Convenience Store Association, meeting in Sevierville, Tennessee, recognized a Food City associate for one of the top awards. We’re very proud of our executive vice president Mickey Blazer.
Mickey Blazer
Mickey Blazer was named the 2023 Retailer of the Year. Mickey joined the Food City team in 1977. He has served in numerous management roles throughout the company. He is responsible for the oversight of fuel and pharmacy operations for Food City’s entire 134-store retail supermarket chain, including 109 pharmacies, 110 fuel centers and 5 convenience stores.
David Smith was named 2023 Supplier of the Year. David is president and CEO of Associated Wholesale Grocers Inc., based in Kansas City, Kansas, with eight wholesale divisions.
