Dr. Richard Kosowski, music director and conductor for Mercer University Opera, recently traveled to Farragut High School to work with the Farragut High choirs.

A post on the school’s page said, “He led us through best practices for vocal technique and even broke out a spectrograph to show us some of the “what’s actually happening” when we sing. We also enjoyed hearing about Mercer University and their new Fabian Music Scholarship!”

Dr. Kosowski is serving as music director and conductor for Mercer University Opera at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. He also is serving as interim director of Music Ministries for the local Highland Baptist Church.

As a professional chorister, Kosowski has sung with the Metropolitan Opera, the New Your City Opera National Company, the Opera Orchestra of New York, the National Chorale, the Atlanta Opera, the Choral Guild of Atlanta and most recently the Atlanta-based ensemble, Coro Vocati.
