Marie Yovanovitch coming to UT

The public is invited to an Ashe Lecture with former U.S. Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, who will discuss her experiences and observations of the current geopolitical climate.

Former U.S. Ambassador to Egypt and Syria and Baker Center board member Margaret Scobey will interview Ambassador Yovanovitch. The event is free and open to the public, and an open Q&A will follow.

The discussion will be held at 5:30 p.m. Monday, May 2, at the Student Union, 1502 Cumberland Ave, Pilot Ballroom (272A) at the University of Tennessee.

The event will include a signing of Yovanovitch’s new book, “Lessons from the Edge: A Memoir,” which went on sale March 15. Copies of the book will be available on site.

Registration is not required for attendance, but you can let the Baker Center know if you can attend through this link.
